Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: You just sent a notice that the changes I requested to my website are complete and posted to the web — but when I go to my site, I don't see the new content. What gives? Why would you play this phony game with me? (J/K. But, no, really, what gives?)
A: You, dear customer, are likely the victim of over-aggresive browser content caching. As you may know, your web browser tries to keep from having to download the same content over and over (such as on a website that uses the same logo image on every page). To do this it keeps recent content in a special set of files called a cache. Some browsers, to support marketing claims of speedy browsing, ship with this caching set very aggressively, meaning the browser is likely to miss some new content, particularly on a recently browsed page.
